The month of June has been incredible wet for the Eastern Idaho region. Some areas have had more than others, but most have received over 4 - 8 inches. Our average for the entire month of June is 1 1/4 inches total. Friday afternoon we had another storm come rumbling through. Within 45 minutes we had received another 1 1/2 inches at our house. These showers have made our area incredibly soggy and green., but we have a little Ireland right in our backyard.
Friday evening after the storm, Chris and I headed into town. We didn't do much, we went and got Chris' hair cut, had Chinese for dinner and then headed over to the Idaho Falls greenbelt. It was gorgeous. The river was ragging, trees were a brilliant green and the flowers were in full bloom. We spent a couple of hours walking and taking pictures along the river. It was so nice to be able to spend time with Chris in such a beautiful surrounding. I can't wait to do it again.
I was feeling a little patriotic since it is our country's birthday next week.
Videos of the ragging falls.
(Usually you can see rocks just below the falls, but due to the high water, everything is covered including the buoys that are usually right before the falls.)
