Eastern Idaho State Fair '09

The evening of Friday September 11, Chris, Kelle and I had the great pleasure to take our nieces and nephew to Eastern Idaho County Fair. Our kiddie crew consisted of Brooklyn, Taryn, Johnnie and Lexi with us.

We had a great time as the pictures will prove. We rode on rides, saw all the farm animals, fed and petted the animals in the petting zoo, ate until we were sick, and finally came home when our little legs couldn't carry us any longer. Here are some of the highlights of the evening.

All four kids enjoying the first ride of the fair. As you can see they all threw their hands up in the air as if they were on a roller coaster. The girl driving "the engine" thought that was hilarious.

Few pictures of them riding some more extremely expensive rides.
(3 ticket / kid to rid at $1.00 each ticket X 4 Kids)
I think Uncle Chris and Aunt Stephanie were taken for a ride also.
But it was so worth it.....

At the petting zoo, they had puppies, pop belly piglets, pygmy goats, ducks, emu, donkeys, llamas, and alpacas. The little kids loved to feed them and pet them. Kelle just wanted to take some home with her, but I reminded her that we already have a zoo of our own.

They got their faces painted. Lexi was a tidbit nervous until the peer pressure got to her, (her cousins). After the first one was finished she was ready for a second picture painted.

Brooklyn showing one of her two designs.

Johnnie showing Uncle Chris the scary spider.

Uncle Chris receiving a kiss from Johnnie for letting him get his face painted.

Kelle gave us a great show of how impressive her cowgirl skills really are. She actually did really good, but her had started to hurt badly between the machine and the rope, so she rolled out gracefully.

Tracie and John met up with us about 2 hours before heading home.

Saying good night and goodbye to the fair for another year. We had a great time and were so excited to share this fun night out with a lot of our loved ones.
