I just wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas late. With the passing of Conan on Tuesday plus trying to get Christmas ready in a week, I failed to send out Christmas cards. So I wanted to make sure everybody knew that I was thinking of them during this past holiday.
As for our holiday, Thursday after work Chris and I headed to sunny St. George for Christmas. We had a fabulous drive, we sang Christmas carols and just gabbed it up. When we arrived to my parents house Mom had prepared a beautiful Christmas Eve feast. I spent the rest of the evening gabbing in the living room with my parents as I finished wrapping a few gifts that had been not yet wrapped, while Chris was wrapping away on his gifts to me.
He was so cute when he brought out the gifts, he is a horrible wrapper and he knows it so he tries to make it even worse, which I love about it, but he used a full roll of paper (never even been used) on 3 gifts. He never has to a name tag on it because we all know that is it to me from him. Any way, after we were done we headed off to bed.
Christmas morning mom made yet another fabulous meal. She made toast that was incredible and I don't know what to even call it, it is kind of like French toast but 10 times better. Then she made hash browns, ham and sausage. After breakfast we made it under the tree around 10:30-11am.
Chris did such a fantastic job this year, not that he doesn't every year, but he put a lot of thought into his gifts. He gave me a card of with the 3 wise men on it. The card told me that he wanted to give me the same gifts as the wise men gave to Christ. Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, but Myrrh was spelled "M er" with "assag" pointing up in between the M and ER. I was so confused, how is massager tied in with myrrh? He started to laugh, he said he couldn't think of anything for the 3rd gift of Myrrh. So he compromised. My family and I laughed so hard. It was totally something my hubby would do. It was my favorite part of his gifts. He gave me a beautiful opal ring for gold and perfume for my frankincense. I love my hubby and I love the Christmas holiday. I loved being able to spend it with most of my family, because that is what it is truly about.
(Chris said this card reminded him of me, but I seriously don't see the likeness)
