Happy Birthday Chris

Every year I try hard to think of something Chris needs for his birthday. I want each present to benefit him. Last year, I got him a new desktop computer. This year, what he needed was a little R & R or a mini-vaca. I didn't have the money to send him on a cruise or fly him to some exotic place, so I did the next best thing I sent him on an exotic fishing trip down the Snake River. I was able to find a company that rented Drift Boats and invited his brother Chuck and John (brother-in-law) with him.

I picked up the boat on Friday. Filled a cooler full of their favorite drinks, sandwiches, and sent them the down the river first thing Saturday morning. It was a beautiful crisp morning with the day promising to be mild, but warm.

Chris, Chuck, and John floated all day a total of 8 hours. They enjoyed the beauty of the Snake River Canyon, even seeing the point in which the creek (Pine Creek) from our cabin enters the Snake. (Chris said it was the only falls he saw the whole time.) They fished. (John was the only one that caught any fish, 2 in fact.) But most of all they enjoyed their time together, sharing stories and jokes.

When they came home, they were all sunburned (even though I sent sunscreen) and tired, but they all had smiles on their faces. They had a great time. Chris got a mini vacation.

Getting ready to head out.

Chris and I waiting to launch the boat.

Nothing better than brothers.

Chuck and John as we drove the boat to the ramp.
(I think they were excited.)

Big smiles!
(I love this picture of Chris. He looks like a kid on Christmas, just after he discovers his present that has always wanted.)

Getting situated.

Off they go!!!!

Happy Birthday the love of my life. Thanks for filling my life with laughter, love and comfort.
I hope you have a wonderful 36th birthday, filled with new memories.
I love you so much Coy!
