Wednesday, we got word from the Moss's that we had some cows down in their CRP land. So Chris, Chuck, Lucas and I headed up only to find that the cows were no longer on their land but instead had broken into the yard of the cabin and were reeking havoc on the lawn, though now it doesn't need to be mowed it just needs to be scooped and relieved of the bombs left by the cows. As we were driving them out they got over zealous and knocked down the pole that held the high wire we use to keep the fences hot. We didn't have a key to the cabin to fix it so we had to leave it the way it was and make another venture up.
So this evening we headed back up and were able to get the wire fixed and looking and working better than it has in a long time. While Chris and Chuck were working, I did what I like to do most, take pictures of my adorable Lukie, especially since the past few days he is loving his cowboy hat.
I love this time of the year up there at the ranch. It is gorgeous and I can't wait until next week during Conference to see the colors and be in this beautiful surrounding while listening to our prophets and leaders speak.
Oh how I miss Grandpa Orval All this is here because of the sacrifices Grandma and Grandpa Avery made. What a wonderful life they have given us. Truly Grateful! |
Its amazing, by spring I hate the cows but by this time I miss them. It is so fun to see how trim and healthy they are from being up here roaming and grazing up here all summer. |
I love this outhouse. It is starting to show its age. |
Riding with Dada checking the fences. |
I love my two boys. They are my world. |
