Doggy Planter

My boss's birthday was the other day, and I couldn't think of anything to get her. What do you get a girl who gets whatever her little heart desires? So I went shopping to the local western hardware/clothing store and found this little doggy metal figurine. My boss is an animal lover and I thought she would love this. But I couldn't think of anything to put in it, but I finally had a light bulb go off and decided to make it a planter. So I bought it along with some flower (double petunias, geraniums, and some snowflakes) and took them home. I was able to get out my drill that my parents gave me for Christmas many years ago and went to work. I was covered in metal dust and potting soil, but it was worth it, because I think it turned out really cute. My hubby was impressed too. I took in into her at work and all of the girls in the office thought it was adorable. So I thought I would blog about it and show off a little bit.
