Another Horse Post

Chris Taylor, Val and myself took full advantage of the beautiful weather in E. Idaho.. Saturday morning Val and I decided to go and do a session at the temple and then head out to my place to ride the horses around the farm. Chris Taylor met us out there with Cisco. We had a great time enjoying the heat of the sun, maybe even too much of the sun. I am a little red from it. After the ride I sat down and started to work on my father-in-laws saddle. The saddle has been neglected way too long, it was just sitting in the barn getting pigeon poop and about 2 inches of dirt on it. The saddle belonged to my hubby's grandpa and it made by his grandpa’s brother, so it totally deserves some TLC. It is way too precious of an heirloom to allow this to continue… The saddle's tool work is absolutely beautiful. It has what looks like the Idaho state flower "Syranga" and the Avery Acres brand. I am so excited to get it back up into riding shape.

So as you can tell I had a fabulous Saturday. I fully took advantage of the great Idaho weather, especially since I better enjoy it while it is still around.
After we rode, we took our infamous photo.

After a great ride, Sassy is ready for her rub down.

As you can see the fields are ready to be harvested.
