RAINY WEEKEND

So far June has started out cold and rainy. It reminds me of last year when we received like 8 inches for the whole month. So we have not been able to do much in the yard and my grass is beginning to look like the jungle. I was truly hoping we could cut it on Saturday and all the other stuff we have been postponing due to the rainy conditions, but it didn't happen, so we did other things.

Saturday we got together with John and Tracie (Chris' sister) and headed up to the cabin to switch out some of the appliances that are falling apart. Last weekend while we were up there, the stoves front panel to the door fell off and made cooking almost impossible, so Chris and I gave up a stove that was given to us, and replaced it. (We decided we would buy a brand new stove for our house instead.) We also took up our old T.V. and entertainment center. (I was all to excited to get that out of our house, we had way too much furniture in our living room.) John and Tracie had an extra fridge from when they changed out for stainless steel. So the cabin has new appliances, well new as in the past decade appliances rather than stuff from the 70's. It is amazing to see how by just adding white appliances rather than having mustard yellow appliances has brighten up a dark cabin. Our next goal is to switch out the old lighting fixtures and replace them with ceiling fans.

Chris and I spent a quiet, rainy Sunday playing the Farming game, (Totally appropriate right?) and taking our weekly Sunday afternoon nap. So basically we were totally lazy.
