Momma Doll and Mister Mister Come to Visit

Last week Mom was able to come and spend time with all of us girls. She spent a couple of days at each family's house. She started at Maggie and Ron's place in Logan and then came to our house. We were so excited to have here come up to stay with us for those few days. I love it when family comes to visit. When she came up she was able to bring Mister Mister (Hayden) with her. (Thanks Moogly and Ron for letting her bring your cute baby.) Hayden remembered our house and all of the farm. He was so excited to be here and was running around like a crazy person. In fact, at one point he was running around the house with nothing but Chris' nasty ballcap on while I was preparing his bath. He even wanted to wear it into the bath. I had to brib him with a wash cloth to get it off his head.

The next morning, I took Hayden out with me to feed the horses and the other animals and he spotted the tractor Chris was using to run the grain auger to move the grain from the tractor's holding bin to the silos. He wanted to go for a ride. I knew it wasn't going to be able to go anywhere since they still needed to move more product out so I put him in the driver seat. I should not have done that. He didn't want to get down. I think this kid is going to be spending a few weekends when he is older on the farm.

The only way I could get him to come off the tractor was to have Chris come and take him on a fourwheeler ride. Boy did that work. He was so excited to go with Uncle Chris to check on the field's watering status.
After a few hours outside on the fourwheeler, running around, playing with the dogs and kitties and he even swung on the swing he played on for a month while he lived here, he was all tuckered out and I mean he was exhausted. We put him down for a nap and he slept for a little over 3 hours. While he did that, mom and I tackled the porch room and bless her. It was a project I have been putting off but with her help we were able to get the porch clean scrubbed and organized. It has made all the difference in the world. She also brought her carpet clearner up and tackled the nasty carpet. Carpet and farm is not a good combination. I have hated the carpet since the day of our arrival, but while her machine and her elbow grease I have a beautiful carpet. Thanks Momma Doll. I so enjoyed having her up here and I am so grateful for the work and elbow greased she contributed to my house. She is such a great help and I loved that she took her precious time off to come up to my house and help me d'junkify my house.
