November and December

The past few months have been very busy and I think that is why I haven't blogged for such a long time. But here is a summary of what has happened for months of November and December.

In the middle of November we had a great opportunity to go down to Logan and stay with Ron and Maggie. My company gave me tickets to the BYU football game and a gift card to Olive Garden for dinner. So we headed down to Logan Friday night and planned to spend the day with Ron and Maggie and then head down to Provo for the game. When Saturday arrived it was wet, cold and windy and Chris woke up with a pretty nasty cold so we decided that it would be stupid to go to the game and spend  3 to 4 hours out in the wet cold night. So we opted to stay and play with the Garners and then we would head to Salt Lake to go to dinner with all that could join. That morning, Hayden was so excited when he saw that we were still there so he jumped on the air mattress with us and we made a fort. He thought that was pretty cool. My favorite memory from Hayden was watching him go around the house calling and looking for his stuffed lion Lionel. He has the cutest little voice.
Hayden's first real experience with snow. In the past years he was to young to play with it.

Hayden wasn't quite sure what to make of the cold wet stuff. But he had fun watching Uncle Chris throw snow balls at Aunt Stephie.

Saturday night, we met up with Kelle, Gene and Kade for dinner. Rachel and her family were unable to make it but we sure enjoyed ourselves. We were gluttons. We ate like kings.

Hayden loved his Alfredo pasta, he was so hungry he had it all over the place. He wasn't quit sure how to get the sauce off his nose.

Gross Kelle.

Following dinner we headed over to Kelle's house to play a few hands of cards. While playing Hayden got busy playing with Uncle Chris's hat. For some reason, he just can't help himself. I think it is a boy thing.

We finally headed out and landed back to Ron and Moog's house for another night. Then we headed home the next morning. We were so grateful to both families to drop whatever they were doing to hang out with us for the weekend.

For my 33rd birthday, I can't believe I am 33. Really! Anyway we spent the evening with the Van Dyck family. We went to dinner to Red Robin.

Johnnie showed me his rolled tongue and challenged me to roll mine, which I could.

Middle of December we hire Ron to come up and help Chris get the Pre-Christmas deliveries out and get the fence up that had been neglected due to the lack of help.
Hayden spent most of the hour outside with the boys

Hayden wanted to out with Uncle Chris so he got all dressed up.

While the Garner's were here, they helped us celebrate our 13th anniversary. I can't believe it has been 13 years already. We went to Red Robin. Do you see a pattern, we must like Red Robin.

Hayden loved his spaghetti.

Chris surprised me at work with a beautiful bouquet of roses for our Anniversary.
While I was wrapping our gifts so I could put them under the tree, Mister Mister came in to help and ended up getting wrapped himself. He has been one of the greatest gifts in mine and Chris's lives so he deserved to wrapped too.

We were so grateful to Ron and Maggie for coming up and helping Chris. I know it took a lot of stress off of Chris's shoulders. We are sure grateful for them and their little man. We sure love them very much.

Got to have a few lunches with Val and her cute baby Elizabeth. Even though we don't work for the same company anymore, we make it a point to go to lunch often.

We also had the opportunity to witness Johnnie play soccer. He has quite the talent developing here. In this particular game he scored 5 goal. I don't think he was influenced by his coach's promise that each player would get a coupon for a shake for every goal scored. I believe he would have scored that many despite that promise, because he is just that talented.

This is very poor quality picture but you can tell it is Johnnie by the little tuft of hair in the back. Seriously that little tuft bounced around as he ran and it allowed us to keep a better eye on him as he ran around with all the other little kids.

We sure have had a great time with both the Van Dyck's and the Garners. They are such an integral part of our lives and sure miss them when we don't see them. It has been a great past couple of months.
