Quick Trip to Yellowstone

We got to go to Yellowstone this year. I wasn't sure if we would make it this year. The summer slipped through our fingers, it went by so quickly. But Betty had some really distant relatives come to eastern Idaho and they thought it would be fun to take them up there and it worked out perfectly for Easyway too, Chris had a delivery up to Big Sky Mt and a bag delivery to Yellowstone Lake. So we got paid to do this excursion.

Chris, Lucas and I headed off to Big Sky MT to pick up a TV and on our way saw a beautiful bull moose. He was gigantic. I haven't seen a bull moose in a couple of years so it was so it was really fun. When we finished our pickup, we met up with Betty, Darwin and the Alexanders, Bill and Caroline in West Yellowstone. Bill and Caroline are relatives from way back, like 250 years ago. They met last year when Betty and Shelly happened to see our old ancestors road to William Alexander's farm. They were surprised to find that it was still in the family and that Bill was a distant grandson to William. They have kept in contact and they came out to visit. It was nice to meet them.

So we just did the Old Faithful, Paint Pots and then we split up and we went to Yellowstone Lake while they headed home. They got in late from Salt Lake City and were exhausted. So it was a really quick trip.

On our way home after we delivered the bags to the Hotel at Lake Yellowstone we saw buffalo, which Lukie loved (so he now has a buffalo stuffed animal) elk and a momma grizzly and baby grizzly. The bears were right on the road and totally unexpected. I have never seen a bear this close to the west entrance before. I don't think Luke saw it but he kept asking about them the whole trip home.
I always consider it a successful trip when we see a bear or wolf. It was so much fun to get to know the Alexanders and spend time with Darwin and Betty.

He loves to play with her hair.

They adore each other.
