Good Bye Little Lou Winston

We lost our little puppy today. He was a great little dog and we will truly miss him and his barks to let us know someone was here that he didn't know or like. He was the best security dogs, no one could get by him.

We were not expecting to get a dog 3 years ago, but after the accident and Chris being penned up in the house, he needed a little companion dog to keep him company while I was at work. He was a fun little dog to have around the house and on the farm. Lucas adored him, though Lou would put up with him, he would rather stay away. He liked to keep his ears and tails from being pulled by a 1 & 2 year old little Lucas. What I will really miss is seeing him curled up on Bailee trying to keep warm and I am sure she didn't mind the little guy's body heat either.

As we were digging the place of his final rest, Luke kept telling Lou to wake up. He couldn't quite get the concept that he wasn't going to get up and play with him. Luke kept saying "Where Lou go?" We finally were able to bury him, Lucas got a little upset as we placed the dirt on top of Lou. We had to comfort him by telling him that he was up with Heavenly Father and Jesus, no sooner had we said that, Lucas said, "Love you Lou." That broke my heart. We love our Little Lou Winston and will miss him deeply. Keep warm with Conan, Bella, Maverick and Buddy, Little Lou. They will love you as much as we do.
