Bed Time Buddies

       Bedtime Routine

       Lucas has been really struggling with going to bed. We have tried to get rid of naptime all together, but about 5 or 6 in the evening we have to keep him from falling asleep. So at bedtime I brought in a twin sized air mattress so I could lay with him and sneak out when he is asleep and that is still difficult since he is such a light sleeper. He wakes up if my knee cracks or the floor boards squeak. He is that light of a sleeper.

 

       Even more recent he has been sleeping only on the air mattress. I think his little toddler bed mattress is too firm for his liking and I need to get him a nightlight maybe that will help. But he insists on sleeping with his posse of animals, and if you forget one he knows it. He names them one by one until they are all surrounding him. He has to have Baby Chewbacca or Baby Chewy, Brobee, and fat Brobee, Dragon, Mickey Mouse, Bilbo the buffalo and Red Fox.  That is his little gang.
