So Lucas and I were outside and Chris came out telling us that there was a massive storm brewing right on top of and wanted to go driving in it. Of course we jumped into the car and started to drive to the top of the Iona hill. As we were getting ready to turn left onto Foothill Rd, the sunset caught my eye because of the ominous clouds were enclosing around us. I didn't have my nice camera so the colors didn't come through as spectacular but they are still impressive.

We didn't make it to the top of the hill due to the fact lightning was striking all around us and the rain was coming in sideway with the wind howling 60 - 70mph. It was an intense storm and it brought close to 2.25 inches of rain in about 20 - 30 minutes. Foothill Rd and the cross section of 85th was flooded due to the runoff from the hill and made for a horrible muddy mess.
