School Time

1st Day of Preschool

Today Lucas embarked on his first day of school, weird to think he is old enough to attend. Where has the time gone? But every parent asks that question. I hate seeing him grow so fast but love each new day and new experience it brings. Its very bitter sweet. Enough of the crying.

Lucas went to school down the road to Angela Larsen's preschool. He goes twice a week for two hours. What I am most excited for him is the time he will have with other children. It was hard to decide if he would attend preschool at all this year, but after much thought and prayers, we decided it was great for his social skills since he is always at home with mom and dad. Poor Kid.

This morning he didn't wake up at his normal 7:30 or 8 am time, I actually had to pry him out of his bed and scurry to get him dressed, feed and ready for school. Oh by the way, he wasn't that excited to go to school as he was in the past, he kept saying "to later" meaning tomorrow or never. But once we got there he was just fine.

Today's activities included painting his name visor, coloring  a puppy and story time. He was so excited to see us when we pulled up to get him and he incredibly excited to tell us all about his experience. He had a great time.

He slept in too late to actually eat at the table but that is what muffins are for. The on the go breakfast.
Waiting for the other kids to arrive before they head down to school.
