Husband Tag!
What is your husbands name? Christopher John
How long have you been together? Officially July 24, 1998 (almost 10yrs)
Married on December 19, 1998
Who said I love you first? Chris did
Who is smarter? Chris, but I have a better memory when it comes to details.
Who does the housework? Mostly me
Who sleeps on the right? Me
Who pays the bills? We both do, we split them up
Who cooks dinner? I do, if I don't want pasta
Who drives when you are together? Mostly him
Who is more stubborn? Me
Who kissed who first? Long story, but it was me. He asked me if he could kiss me, but I was rather shy about kissing him, so I asked him "Why!" He got irritated and told me that when I was ready I would have to kiss him. So the next day I kissed him.
Who asked out who first? This is a toss up. He came over to our (Rachel & I) apartment and asked if we would like to go swimming since it was so hot. Rachel didn't want to go, but I wasn't going to turn down the chance to cool off, even though at that point he was just an acquaintance. After that we were just friends. So if you say this is the first date, it would be him. But I would be considered the first one that asked if you count this story. Chris used to play basketball with a group of guys and I would go watch. Well we were a little early so I challenged him in a 1 on1 game, best of 10, loser buys dinner. Well it was a very tight game but I blocked his shot that would have won him the game and went in for a lay up and won the game. He had to buy me dinner. He says he purposely lost, but I know otherwise. He was mad that I blocked his shot. Go Steph!
Who proposed? I love this story so I am going to tell it.... Chris and I were only starting to officially dating on July 24, so this came at a total surprise. On Aug. 4, Chris and I were watching a movie at his apartment, and all of a sudden he said "Steph, I need to ask you a question." I not knowing what the question was, said " Of course." He then said " I have a very strong feeling that I am supposed to ask you to marry me." I being in total shock, said "Yes." So we both agreed since we both were living away from the parents, that we would wait to tell anyone, that way we could tell our parents in person... Well the next morning I got up to get ready for work and my mom calls me, which is really random for the morning. and asks me if anything happened the night before. I said "NO", totally lying through my teeth, and Mom flat out said "Stephanie, don't lie to me, you got engaged last night, didn't you." I could not lie after she caught me red handed. She said she had a dream that I got engaged, and had to call me right away. I told her the story and promised her that she would not tell Chris. She said she would and we left it at that. About 10 minutes later, Chris called and said that he had to confess, while I was talking to my mom, his mom had just called him and asked him if he had gotten engaged and he told her the truth. The crazy thing about this story is that his mom didn't even know he was dating anybody..... And that is our story of our proposal.
Who has more siblings? He does. He has 7 (3 brothers & 4 sisters), I only have 4 (3 sisters & 1 brother)
Who wears the pants? We both do. We know when to put our foot down on any issues that we might feel that need it.
