Chris and I just got finished with a fabulous trip to Chicago. Here we had a chance to meet up with our dear friend Ilyse, Rosie and Bebe. (Ilyse lives in the out lying town of Mundelein, IL. Rosie and Bebe are her labs. ) She took us on a great tour of her hometown and downtown Chicago.
We were able to see a couple of plays, that were fantastic. We saw "Wicked" and "The Color Purple". Totally two different kinds of plays. "Wicked" was fun and animated, while " The Color Purple" was inspirational and awe inspiring. The Color Purple's music, acting, scenery, and plot were the most entertaining thing I have ever seen. A true treat for the body and soul.
We went to a Cubs game at Wrigley's Field. The Cubbies lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it was just a great experience to be there in such an old field, watching a game that has been an American tradition. Chris and I did not have a favorite baseball team, so we are officially Cub's fans. Sorry Steve, no Whitesox. Blah.....
I was also able to convince Ilyse and Chris to going to Six Flag's Amusement Park. Chris wimped out on the last two roller coasters, but I totally understand that he is getting old and his neck was starting to hurt him. But Ilyse and I went on everyone of the roller coasters. She and I had a blast, we felt like we were back in our early teens. We had perma-grins for days after. It was fun and exciting.
Ilyse also took us to many amazing restaurants. My favorites were "The Rosebud, Lux Cafe' & Joe's Steak & Seafood," we ate like kings everywhere we went. The atmosphere at those restaurants do not exist here in Idaho Falls. So I will have to go back to Chicago.
Ilyse took me to the Navy Pier and the Memorial park. At the pier we had the opportunity to go on a boat tour of the city's skyline. Chicago is truly an incredible city. I love Chicago. Oh, I almost forgot Ilyse and I had reservations at Joe's, so we took a rickshaw from the pier to the restaurant. It was so much fun and we got crazy looks from everybody as we pulled up. (it was better than a limo)
Ilyse,
Chris and I had the most amazing trip, thanks to one special gal. Thanks for letting us crash at your house, and especially for the fabulous tour of your great city. Tell all of my new friends in Chicago, (Especially Fazo and E.T) Hi and Thanks You So Much for the great time.

It looks like you guys are having lots of fun traveling and seeing the sites. I even heard a rumor that you were in Vegas not too long ago, and you didn't even look us up! Shame!
Jeff,
The last Vegas trip I took was a girls weekend. (I am sure you would haved loved to do a spa treatment with us gals.) But I promise you that the next time I am down there, I will come and see you.
