I had another funny experience with my animals on Saturday. I have been dog sitting for my friend that is relocating to S. Dakota, and they had been locked up in their pen, so I decided to take them for a walk, along with my two guys. I actually rode a 4 wheeler, so I didn't walk but the dogs did. So I was driving down the road and all of a sudden my sister-in-law Tracie pulls along side me with the other quad. She explained to me that as soon as I left my driveway Gerdie (the goat) was so jealous that she could not go with us, so she thought she would take care of it. She pulled her stake out of the ground. This is no ordinary stake, it is one that is made for construction, it is 2 feet long with thread to secure it to the soil. (Missy my old horse could not even pull this out of the ground) Gerdie wants to go for a walk with the dogs, and what she wants Gerdie gets. It was so funny to see her trying to catch up with us with the stake in tow behind her..... So when it is time to take the boys out again for another walk, I will have to take Gerdie too, but she will be on the leash, just like the rest of the bunch.... Now I really do believe that she thinks she is a dog.
