DAVID ARCHULETA CONCERT

We are going to the David Archuleta concert in Pocatello.

In January, Val and I tried to get our little hands on some tickets to his concert in Idaho Falls, but to our dismay the tickets sold out in 3 mins at the ticket booth and 30 seconds online. Can you believe that? We were both really bummed out. We tried to buy them on ebay ,but they wanted way too much money, so we kind of gave up and said next time.

Well on my way to work on Monday, the local radio announced that they added another concert date in Pocatello because of the high demand for his concert. But tickets wouldn't go on sale until this morning at 10am....

My coworker overheard Val and I talking about getting tickets and he wanted in on the deal. He wants to send his wife and his son to it. So this morning at 9:30 I situated my desk so I would be successful in obtaining 5 tickets. I had my cell phone's alarm clock set to go off at 9:55, brought up the website for the tickets and gave the phone number out to all of my coworkers to call at 10.

It worked! 3 out of the 8 coworkers got through on the phone and I got through on the website. I bought my tickets and hung up. Travis was nervous that we would not get through, and to be honest I was too. After I paid for the tickets, I was curious to see if I could get through again and guess what, the concert was sold out. Let me tell you, it only took me a few minutes to buy the tickets online, so this tells me that he sold out again within 3 to 4 minutes.

I got confirmation of my ticket purchase, set a copy on Travis' desk and told Val. Let me just tell you how excited they both were. Travis can't wait to get home tonight to tell his wife and son and Val called her sister to let her know that she is coming too. It is going to be such a fun night. I can't wait......
