Yellowstone

Chris and I were able to spend a day in Yellowstone with one of his brothers Mark and his cute little family. We spent the day going to Dragon's Mouth (one of my favorite attractions), Yellowstone Falls, and Tower Falls. I know for most people, they prefer the Old Faithful area, but I prefer this area. It is not as crowded and you get to see the wildlife Yellowstone is famous for.
While we were there, we saw the usual elk, buffalo, and deer, but this time we were privileged to see a mother grizzly and her 2 cubs, and also a male black bear. What a treat. Most people go a lifetime without seeing such animals. But on this day, my nieces and bothers-in-law were able to see their first wild bears. So this trip, although short, was a great success.

(Johnnie wanted the dragon to come out of its cave.)

Mother grizzly and her two cubs.
(It is hard to see, but one of the cubs is standing up on its hind legs looking at us.)
Mother grizzly with one of the cubs following her.

Big bull elk. Would not want to be charged by this thing.
Check out those antlers.

Typical lone male buffalo. He was gigantic.
