Happy 85th Birthday

Today is the birthday of one of the world's greatest ladies, and I get to claim her.
I am not joking when she is one of the world greatest ladies. It is the honest truth.
My Grandma is such an amazing lady. She always knows how to make you feel better whenever you are feeling down. She has a great talent to paint and draw, something I happily inherited from her. She is so strong with the testimony of the gospel. She is someone that all look up too because of that strength. She is an amazing cook & seamstress. She is truly amazing and I love her so much.
Some of the great memories I have with my grandma are:
1. Digging for doodle bugs in the sand out by her old swing set.
2. Going with her to the Santa Clara cemetery, to clean up her brother and parents plots.
3. watching her bake. She is an amazing cook. She makes the best Lazy Daisy Cake and homemade German Chocolate Cake with pecan frosting.
4. Watching her brush her hair with her old off white brush/comb, and watching her put her lipstick on. (I remember thinking that I wanted to grow up and be as pretty as she was)
5. Traveling with Grandma and Grandpa in their old 5th wheel up to Oregon.
6. Grandma and Mom coming to Idaho to visit, and making them sleep on my bunk beds. Grandma of course got the bottom bunk.
7. Helping Grandma snap beans for dinner.
8. Going over to her house for donuts after we trick or treated at halloween.
9. Watching Grandma tend to her beautiful pink roses. (Pink is her favorite color)
10. Grandma bringing Rachel and I sandwiches to our secret hut behind the grapevines.
11. Her telling me stories about her childhood and when she was a single young lady living in Salt Lake. I could listen to those stories all day. (did you know she used to paint her legs because they could not get nylons becausse of the war)
I am so grateful for my Grandma and for everything she has taught me. I am so proud to be able to carry her name with me always and that I am her name sake. She is truly amazing person. I love my Grandma so very much.
-Happy Birthday Grandma-
Thanks for being truly amazing.
Thanks for being a great example to me.
I love you the very mostest.
