I had a little excitement this morning when I came to work. The Kingston office building caught fire.

When I arrived, they had the roads blocked and crews already in the building. They said that the fire was on the 2nd floor, which is the floor I work on, but it was in a smaller suite, so I knew it was not our office, which was a relief. You always look for ways to get out of working, but this is not what you want. You still need a job, especially now, where there are no jobs around. After waiting outside for about 45 minutes and having the fire chief offered me a warm place to sit, we were finally allowed into the building.

I guess, Christie was the first one in and thought the office smelled funny but didn't think anything about it since there are two massage therapists that rent suites here, that burn incense all of the time, so she didn't think anything of it.

Mikey was the one who found and put it out. Because of this quick thinking, the damage is minimal and secluded to just the one room of the suite and it kept the sprinklers from coming on a soaking the whole building. (that could have been a real mess) He is the office hero.

Now here I sit at my computer thinking I stink and I will have to go to class smelling like a campfire. Great!
