Elder Benjamin Franklin Montana Bird

Elder Benjamin Bird came home from his mission in Johannesburg South Africa mission. It was so good to see him and see how much he has grown. It is so good to see them all together again.

From the updates he would post on Facebook, he was a terrific missionary that loved the people and they equally loved him. It was fun to read his posts every week and read of the many experiences he was having with the people, the culture and the environment. He saw zebras and many other African animals while he was there. He also ate many different African animals like Zebra and alligator .

Ben has always been a soft hearted person and I know he used that to his advantage. I can't wait to hear of his experiences from his own mouth and can't wait to have him visit us since he was out at our house a lot prior to him leaving.  We did point out that he isn't a picky eater anymore when we went to lunch with him at Plum Loco. He used to not like sour cream, and now he will eat anything. So there must be some really good dinner stories that he has yet to share.

We spent a good portion of the day with the Bird family and it felt good. It had been a very long time and we hope it won't take us that long to get together again.
