We got our branding done about 3 weeks earlier and it couldn't have gone smoother. We had a great crew again of Steve Avery with his wife and daughter, then of course Chris, Chuck and myself were the rest of the crew.
We didn't have huge calves with tiny calves like we have had in the past, because Chris timed it perfectly. He expected the first of the calves to start dropping about March 15th and the first one born was March 17th. And from there on we had about 3 weeks of calving. So all of the calves were very equal in size, which made the process easier, much, much easier.. It took us about 2 1/2 hours and it was perfect, because we still had the rest of the day free.
